Sometimes its worth it to stay up late

I don't usually stay up too late because I like to sleep. A lot.

And because I do so much "stuff," I have to budget my time accordingly. Last night was an exception. We watched the Eclipse and it was very, very COLD. Oh, the moon was great too, but it's a good thing my friend wanted to drive around Kotzebue for a couple of hours!

I swear we are closer to the moon than anyone else because it is HUGE up here. Huge and bright.

These photos are not edited in any way. (which is why some of them look a little fuzzy, I blame it on the wind!)

Beautiful! It was cloudy here, so I got to sleep instead. I'd rather have seen the eclipse, though.

I love your pictures, i actually am goign to use one for my desk top. Kotzebue is so beautiful even though some of the stuff that flys out of ppls mouths always isnt. I love that place and miss it dearly. I miss walking out the front door to hunt. I dont like driving for over an hour for a Caribou in the Eureka Hills or only hunting geese on the hay flats when they say !

Very beautiful. I also took a good one of the moon...but it looks TOTALLY different than yours. Not as big! Have a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you for posting those! I so wanted to see it, but it was snowing here so the sky was orange (from the crazy street lights).

Wow! Those are awesome photos! I'm jealous, we had haze where I live, so I only sort of got to see the eclipse.

I slept through, so it's nice to see your pics. Your blog makes me a little homesick - I lived in AK for five years, although Fairbanks was as far north as I got.
